Our Old Stomping Grounds

Today we traveled back to our old 'hood to meet friends Syd and Alex G. and their Mommy. We had a great lunch at Baja Fresh, where Alex and Ari devoured their very own cheese quesadilla, apple sauce, and some snacks stolen from Alex and Syd's trays (see below...luckily, Syd is gracious about sharing!) It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed walking around the outdoor shopping and restaurant area.

This afternoon Alex had his first "bleeding incident." Mommy came home from the gym to find Daddy holding Alex, who had blood gushing (OK, maybe it was just trickling) out of his mouth. [Please note who was in charge when this happened! Just kidding, Mommy knows it could have happened when she was there too...maybe...] According to Daddy, Alex had just slipped on one of his toys and hit his mouth, which apparently was cut by his nice, new, sharp teeth. It looked a lot worse than it was, and luckily the bleeding stopped quickly, but poor Alex has a puffy lip to show for it:
We guess with new walking skills come many bumps and bruises, but Mommy hopes not many more of them involve blood!
