Moms

Today was a day filled, appropriately, with Moms. While we like to think of every day as a day we appreciate our mothers, today we made a special effort to say "we love you" to the moms in our lives.
Early today, Nana and Poppy Jack came by for a visit during Alex and Ari's morning nap, but caught a few minutes with them after they woke up. Poppy Jack had to go get the boat ready to put back into the water, so later in the afternoon Nana came back over with Aunt Lori and Cousin Ozzie for a longer visit with all of her children and grandchildren:
Since Poppy Jack was still at the boat during dinner time, and since Opa is in Germany visiting his own mother (Alex and Ari's great grandmother), Mommy and Daddy invited the grandmas over for a lasagna dinner. So, all in all, Alex and Ari had a day surrounded by lots of love and attention!

They also had a weekend filled with culinary adventures...Friday evening we took a family outing with Nana and Poppy Jack to Fuddrucker's, and Saturday night we had dinner with Miri at a local deli, followed by a big ice cream sundae at Baskin Robin's. At dinner, Ari mastered a new skill: drinking through a straw. Very exciting! Needless to say, we're all still stuffed from this weekend, and looking forward to dining IN this week!
