This afternoon's party was at Darby's house and the kids all played in the backyard on the swing set in between munching on chips, Goldfish crackers, hot dogs, hamburgers, fruit and, of course, cake. Darby's mommy and big sister made this very creative (and yummy!) butterfly cake:
Alex and Ari had their own special table outside with their friends and they also had a chance to see twin friends Lilli and Gregory's baby sister Jessi. Alex and Ari clearly love babies, as they were fascinated with Jessi and very careful not to disturb her. We were warned by Jessi's parents that this behavior might not last long once our new baby arrives...while Lilli and Gregory were that way at first, apparently they now like to see what happens if they hit Jessi with a toy or doll.
Despite the large amount of cake Alex and Ari ate at the party, they went to bed quickly and eagerly when we got home. Guess the excitement of the afternoon outweighed the sugar high!
