Seven Weeks

We're getting back up to speed around here, and Kira is improving steadily every day. At this point, you'd never guess she spent four days in the hospital- she is in good spirits, giving us lots of smiles, and is back on her regular "schedule" (we use that term loosely since there isn't much of a schedule yet!) Today we celebrated her seven week birthday- here is a picture of our big girl with a big smile that says "I feel much better now!"The past few days have been spent getting back into the swing of things. Yesterday Kira needed to go in to our pediatrician's office for a follow-up visit, so Aunt Lori and Cousin Ozzie came over to play with Alex and Arielle while Mommy and Kira went to see the doctor. The kids had a lot of fun with their aunt and canine cousin:

Today Alex and Ari went back to school for the first time in three weeks (they missed last week due to their colds, the week before due to snow) while Miri and Opa played with Kira. This was Alex and Ari's last class with Mommy-- after Winter Break, they will transition to an independent program. It will be interesting to see how they do with the transition- Mommy is betting that Ari will take it in stride, while Alex may have more trouble adjusting. Mommy may have the hardest time of everyone!
