Eight Crazy Nights

It's all Hanukkah, all the time around here this week. We've been filling our school-less days with visits to Hanukkah Wonderland, an indoor activity center sponsored by the local Chabad congregation. The kids have enjoyed activities, arts and crafts, story time and running around with their friends. Yesterday we met up with Andrew and his mom and ran into lots of other friends. Today we met up with Savannah and her mom and again ran into lots of people we know, including the Arking clan and Matan and his mommy! The kids decorated cookies, made chocolate lollipops, played with the legos, rode tricycles and ran around with their friends.

Tonight Nana, Poppy, Aunt Lori, Uncle Sam and Ozzie all came over to celebrate the 4th night of Hanukkah. Again the kids were all in toy overdrive, but this time they seemed to focus on a couple of real favorites. Alex was transfixed-- literally-- by the Hess truck and digger that Nana and Poppy got him, and Ari rode around the house in circles on the scooter/ride-on-toy that GG sent for all three kids (Ari and Alex can use it as a scooter and Kira can use it as a ride-on toy...if she ever gets to use it!) Kira liked her gifts but was more enamored with Ozzie, who received a stuffed toy frog from Ari, Alex and Kira.

Ari and Alex stayed up until 9:00 tonight playing with their new toys. It's amazing we even got them to leave the toys downstairs and go up to sleep. Tomorrow is Christmas Day so we're anticipating a pretty quiet day spent at home...likely enjoying lots of new toys!
