Busy Bees

While we usually keep very busy, this week has been especially jam-packed with fun and friends.

On Monday we had our weekly My Gym class and Alex and Ari tried out some new tricks and equipment, including the vault and balance beam (with the help of the instructors, of course!)

Tuesday morning we intended to visit Aunt Lori, Uncle Sam and Ozzie but after spending 40 minutes in the car and getting only a fraction of the way to their house (which is usually just a 20 minute drive), Mommy decided it would probably be best to cut our losses and turn around. We made the best of the situation by visiting a big playground on the way to Aunt Lori's house and then taking a trip to the mall to take care of a few errands. In the afternoon, Alex and Ari played in their ball pit. Mommy finally got around to taking some pictures of their new favorite activity:
Yesterday we had our weekly neighborhood playgroup at twin friends' Lilli and Gregory's (and their new sister Jessi's) house. Mommy had a hard time getting Alex and Ari to go home because they were having so much fun with all of their friends (we had a great turnout yesterday) and playing with Lilli and Greg's fun toys. But we needed to get in a quick nap before our afternoon lunch and play date, so eventually Mommy managed to get both kids home for nap time.

After a short nap, it was off to Baja Fresh to meet friend Joe, his mom, and new sister Samantha. Joe and Ari flirted during lunch and Joe even offered her part of his quesadilla. After lunch, we went to an indoor play area where the older kids enjoyed the toys (including a puppet show stage, play kitchen and host of other fun things) while the mommies caught up and Samantha watched the big kids running around.

This morning it was off to the tot lot where we ran into several friends and neighbors and ended up staying for over an hour. This afternoon Miri is coming over to play with Alex and Ari while Mommy goes to a doctor's appointment, so they are looking forward to seeing her when they wake up from their nap.

Mommy would also like to mention that Daddy has been Superdad this week, as Mommy has had something (a class, a meeting, a Girls Night Out, etc.) almost every night this week which has required Daddy to do much of the bedtime routine on his own. He gives dads everywhere a good name.
It's been a jam-packed week for all of us so far but Alex and Ari seem to have the energy for it, so it's all good!
