Shana Tova!

Happy New Year! We rang in the Jewish New Year with a week filled with fun, friends and family.

Monday we started Alex and Ari's new My Gym class, and were delighted to find out that a set of our twin friends, Jessica and Ryan, are in the class with us. Alex and Ari had a ball (literally) playing in the ball pit, climbing, running around and meeting a whole new set of friends. Now that Ari is walking proficiently, she fully enjoyed the class and got to work on further strengthening her muscles during the class.

Wednesday was our neighborhood playgroup at friend Caroline's house, which always means a new and different set of toys. Caroline has an especially impressive collection, in part due to the fact she has an older sister and lots of hand-me-down toys including a kiddie treadmill, trampoline, and stationary bicycle! Thursday was Rosh Hashanah, the first day of the Jewish New Year. Mommy had a doctor's appointment in the morning, but in the afternoon we went to Miri and Opa's for a Rosh Hashanah lunch that also doubled as a celebration for Daddy's birthday, which is officially on Saturday:

This morning we had a playdate with twin friends Ivy and Brooke. Talk about a new set of exciting toys-- Alex and Ari developed a bit of toy envy when they saw Brooke and Ivy's impressive collection, which includes a toy washer and dryer, several kitchens, play food and grocery carts, dolls with their very own Pack 'n Plays, and an assortment of other "real life" toys. Mommy is going to have to do some serious shopping at the upcoming consignment sale for our multiples club to replace some of Alex and Ari's "baby toys" with more grown up toys like Brooke and Ivy's! Alex and the girls had a blast running around with each other, and it seems as if Alex may have a bit of a crush on Ivy, since he insisted on giving her several kisses on the way out. This weekend we'll celebrate Daddy's (actual) birthday, as well as Cousin Jonathan's birthday and a block party in our neighborhood. Looks like the New Year is off to a great start!
