Full Speed Ahead

This weekend we're getting back into the swing of things as Alex and Ari's typically busy social schedule resumes. Today we celebrated friend Allison's third birthday party and had a chance to catch up with many of their other friends, including several of whom also have new baby sisters. It was quite the site to see all of the older kids running around with a bevy of infant carriers on the side, all holding relatively new baby girls.

Alex and Ari (and Daddy!) had fun playing with the train table, in the moon bounce, with bubbles and with the parachute at the party while Kira slept through most of the party, oblivious to all of the festivities:

After cupcakes and juice (and after Alex proceeded to scoop all of the frosting into his hand in a failed attempt to put it all in his mouth at once) we headed over to Nana and Poppy's house to visit with Aunt Lori, Uncle Sam and Ozzie. Alex and Ari were very excited to see Ozzie and to have Uncle Sam read them some books:

Tomorrow we have yet another birthday party for one of Alex and Ari's friends followed by our monthly gathering with our good friends and neighbors. We are guessing that Kira is going to get used to having a busy schedule...and will probably become very good at sleeping through lots of noise and commotion!
